Model Reliability Information

The Schwartz model is based on actual research data and has a certain level of reliability. The 1995 study by Wilcox AJ, Weinberg CR, Baird DD "Timing of sexual intercourse in relation to ovulation" (New England Journal of Medicine, 1995;333:1517-1521) The 1999 study by Dunson DB, Baird DD, Wilcox AJ "Day-specific probabilities of clinical pregnancy based on two studies with imperfect measures of ovulation" (Human Reproduction, 1999;14:1835-1839) The 2006 study by Joseph B. Stanford, David B. Dunson "Effects of Sexual Intercourse Patterns in Time to Pregnancy Studies" These studies analyze pregnancy probability based on when intercourse occurred relative to ovulation day, based on actual clinical data. However, there are several considerations to keep in mind: Like all medical models, this is a probabilistic approach and is not 100% accurate. Other factors not considered in the model, such as individual health status, stress, and environmental factors, can affect the possibility of pregnancy. Therefore, while the Schwartz model is medically substantiated, actual results may vary depending on individual circumstances, and it should be used for reference only. When planning pregnancy or making contraceptive decisions, it is advisable to consider this model along with advice from medical professionals.
